Who invented diamond plate? in what year?

My brother has a truck he is restoring. We want to know if there is any way the factory bumper was diamond plate. We want to know when diamond plate was first made. Thank you.

Diamond plate is a reference to a fender extentions and not a bumper.. they were maufactured and patented in the ealry years that the ford Model T was manuafactured. From this article is appears there were a number of inventors with slightly different designs. Biermacher, Logan, Scott, Hawes and Skrzypchak, Edward T.
Maybe need to do some research online and find out how they made the truck it would help to knwo what make and model truck his is working on.. information given is always better return in solutions.

and others will varify that it is a fender extension.. not a bumper.. need to find out the name of the bumper if it isnt called a bumper I have no idea what it would be called.
