Yes you can try hydrogen peroxide in the ear. Lay down put some in your ear and leave it there for 5 minutes or so and then dump out. However the over the counter stuff mineral based ear cleaners are best by far. You really want to take the time to go to the store and buy something specifically for ear cleaning always in the section right next to the eye stuff usually.

If you haven't flown at very high altitudes recently (the pressure can cause wax to dislodge and "deafen" you), then to be deaf with ear wax really really REALLY requires an irrigation by a doctor. It's one of those things that makes you think nurses and doctors deserve a special place in heaven, because it is G-R-O-S-S. Fast but gross. But a doctor and an irrigation might save you from one truly nasty and possibly dangerous infection.

You can use a tiny bit of warmed olive oil, let the wax loosen, and lie with your head with the stuffed ear down so it can naturally drain out. Do not put any hard object or solution such as alcohol in your ear. It can damage your delicate inner ear permanently.

lay your head on its side and put a little peroxide in you ear it and it will fizz in your ear but it will clean it also this also works with swimmers ear and ear infections, though you might need help pouring it.
