Is it possible to use fan art of an NHL team logo commercially without getting sued?

Update:

It's for a mobile application.

Update 2:

Is it safe to assume that fan art is not the equivalent of the official NHL team logo and that it can be used without being sued by the NHL.

It is illegal to use any copyrighted logo either NHL or otherwise commercially without the approval of the copyright owner.

Judging by your name, I would assume it's a piece of clothing you are putting it on.

#2. Then no. The mobile phone applications are already copyrighted for your pleasure. If you were to make a shirt with the logo and what not, it is considered illegal, but nothing is ever really done about it. That is, unless you run a sweat shop.
