If you are double jointed, it simply means that your joints and their surrounding structures, known as ligaments and tendons, are unusually flexible, enabling you to bend or rotate them in ways that other people find impossible and painful.

We usually have only a single joint going one way. If someone's double-jointed, that means, he has the ability to move both ways, or any other way with ease.
