Ok i was wondering if anyone has take homepathic sulplhur for acne? I been taking for a month and a half now but i haven't noticed any results, infact it has gotten worser. I only started getting acne about a year ago as an adult and it got so bad and I could not figure it out. Like you, I took the holistic route and drank water, and changed diet and it did not really help get rid of all of it. What finally worked? Witch hazel, bactine and epson salt, (and Olay regenerist microdermabrasion and peel kit to help with scarring too). I used the peel kit after washing my face and my skin looked clearer just getting all the dead skin from the other topical treatments I had been using. After my face is clean and exfoliated, I pat my face with witch hazel and bactine -you can get a spya bottle and spray like a toner, a cotten pad (absorbs alot though and you want it on your face not the pad), and just pur some in your hand like guys do for after shave, let in dry and put on moisturizer. I use olay regenerist daily for that too. I use dermologica antibac wash and it works god but I had the whole line and I did not get the results I have with this regimen. Also when you start needing a spot treatment or want to make an under the skin pimple/bump come to a head or dry up faster, mix the epson salt with a little bit of water and aplly some crystals aroiund it. It is not as complicated as it sounds. Once you mix it all it is a 5 min max regimen. Good luck

Sometimes the condition will appear to get worse before it gets better. How long is "a long while"?
It's not that it's supposed to make you break out, but rather to help your body get rid of what's causing the acne in the first place. Sometimes there is a temporary aggravation of symptoms as the body is clearing it. Sulphur is not prescribed for everyone with acne: homeopathy does not prescribe the same remedy for everyone with what appears to be the same problem like allopathic medicine does.

check out the above link. This guy is one of the world's top Homeopaths who's an MD who also has degrees in TCM and has written advanced texts on Homeopathy. You can see if your Homeopath uses his approach or not. If she doesn't, I'd find someone who uses Dr. Luc's methods.

the other guy is right about homeopathy according to their concentrations if you pour a glass of something into the sea in san diego it should be able to cure a person in japan, if you wanted to dilute a gallon to homeopathic specifications there is not enough water in all the oceans on the planet to do it, the old cure for acne was brimstone and treacle which you ate ie sulphur and syrup or molasses it worked but tasted horrible

It's not working because homeopathy doesn't work - its a scam. It has never been shown to work for any condition, because it is nothing but water or sugar pills.... homeopathy contains no active ingredients.

Once you look into it you see that homeopathy is absurd nonsense, based on superstitious beliefs - like the more you dilute something, the more potent it becomes. For example, a typical homeopathic 30C potency means a dilution ratio of 10 to the power of 60, about equivalent to 1ml in 1.2 million cubic light years! It will not contain one single molecule of the original ingredient, so it cannot possibly have any physiological effect.

Remedies are selected based on your symptoms; homeopaths believe that ‘like cures like’, so if you have insomnia for example, homeopaths will often give you a remedy made from Coffea, which is made from the coffee bean. It seems they think that recreating the symptoms empowers your body’s ‘vital force’ to expel disease. This concept lacks any scientific basis or supporting factual evidence.

Not surprisingly, homeopathy has no good evidence of efficacy. It has never been shown in rigorous studies to have an effect beyond placebo. In the UK, Government health system funding of homeopathy is being withdrawn as homeopathic clinics and hospitals are closing. The country's largest pharmacy retailer has admitted it doesn't work and scientists have called it witchcraft.

I'm sorry you have wasted you time and money on homeopathy - it's not difficult to be fooled given the fact that you can buy this stuff in pharmacies and its heavily promoted. Some people will claim it can cure anything, but if you press them for evidence they can't provide any, or only poor quality in-house stuff.

I suggest you talk to a proper doctor and avoid this alternative medicine bunk.

Sulphur is not only for acne but for any ailment if the symptoms agree. Ask your doctor if she has fully matched your symptoms. There are no specifics in Homoeopathy, Sulphur is not specific for any skin disease. The totality of patient's symptoms should match the characteristics of the remedy in materia medica. Sulphur in Homoeopathy is for internal use in potency and not for external use where it is no more homoeopathic and hence not curative. If a Homoeopath says that Sulphur is for skin specifically, then he is wrong and not a Homoeopath. Call him anything but not Homoeopath. Sulphur if indicated by matching the symptoms is even for CANCER cure.

sulphur, first of all, is HORRIBLE for your skin. i wouldn't apply it on your skin anymore because it's obviously not working.
look online for homemade acne treatments, there's tons of effective ones. i've used a few & have gotten really good results .. & i only suggest homemade because i refuse to put chemicals on my skin; it ruins the skin & makes it dependent on using those chemicals, & that's why you continue to break out. you're depleting it of the natural vitamins & minerals your skin needs. it's a no bueno.
now some of these may sound weird, & you may even go "ew that doesn't belong on your face" .. well, neither do man-made chemicals! :/ if you have oily skin, you can use a thick mixture of baking soda & warm water, or oatmeal & warm water .. leave on for 10-20 minutes in the morning before rinsing with cool water. works like a charm, believe me, & makes your skin feel smooth. :) there's also yogurt/honey masks, 10-20 mins before rinsing.. or apply aloe vera to your skin. & if you're unsure, then google for other options of homemade acne masks.
if you feel a pimple coming on, then apply rubbing alcohol (with a cotton ball!) on that area only 3 times a day. dries up the oil & kills the bacteria.

Not sure how bad your acne is, or what form your acne is. But if it is that bad, try to see a dermatologist. also I have seen good results from products that are advertised on TV. Be careful with your face, you do not want to end up with pock marks and acne scars. They don't go away.

Unfortunately it sounds like your homeopath is trying to scam you.

Homeopaths think that to make something stronger, you have to dilute it more (seriously!) Clearly this is silly and as you have realised, it doesn't work.

There are many real treatments available from your doctor that can effectively treat acne. This condition is something that you shouldn't mess around with as you could be scarred for life.

Go and see a proper medical doctor for advice.
