Why do people say mankind cannot produce one verse like the Quran,what is the challenge really? I am muslim?

so I am not mocking anyone but all I am asking is what makes the Quran inimitable. I havent read it in Arabic only in English and it felt like somebody could of course produce the similar verses to beat the challenge?

I am honestly confused. I love Allah and believe in Quran but am just confused about this challenge issue

That's because you don't know the miracles and perfection of the qur'an.

Let's first look at this - the grammar of the qur'an is perfect without one mistake (if you know arabic grammar, you'd know that it's about 100 times more in depth and complicated than english)

Then every statement is a statement of truth, along with that every single sentence is timeless, meaning it is true now and will always be true

then add the fact that not one piece of life is left out, it speaks on every subject matter of life

Then add the fact that every single part of it is about the worship of one god

Then add that there is no contradiction between one statement and another from 114 chapters

Then imagine all that was done in a period of 23 years

Then imagine (this one people these days rarely see) is that the rhyming melody of the qur'an is so perfect - that it can't be duplicated in such a way with all of the above qualities

say the sounds of a certain 10 verses are A F Q L right?

you'll here it go like this A, A A, A A Q L, A F Q A A Q L

and it will continuously expand, and literally not ONE syllable is out of place in the perfect mathematical rhyming scheme. NO one can do that with perfect grammar, the only words capable of this achievement are the ones revealed by Allah in the qur'an

Add all of these things, and then tell me who can do that? It's been attempted for 1400 years people have attempted. by people much smarter than us, and no one has ever come close.

oh on top of that, every piece of information give you a guidance and a proof.. so be able to do ALL that and then have multiple meanings meaning say the verses about the speed of light.. it is guidance for your prayer and time of prayer, and also it is proof from Allah because of it's miracle that no one could have known the truth of that guidance for at least 1000 years! Who can do that my friend

hi there. this is exactly the question i had when evaluating the quran. how do you quantify such a challenge? what is the bit that can't be imitated? surely anyone can put sentences together, in any language.

"to you your religion and to me my religion". what is so great about a sura like that? anyone could write it.

is it the style that it is written in? so what. neither could muhammad bring a sonnet like shakespeare. does that mean that "hamlet" is from allah?

is it the scientific data? but then muhammad couldn't bring an equation like einstein. does that mean the theory of relativity is from allah?

is it the message? if i say that 1 corinthians 13 is better than any sura in any language including arabic. how would it be decided?

basically the challenge seems to be a popularity contest, or an opinion poll.

compare to the bible, which offers prophecy as proof. no opinions required as to which is better. either it comes to pass or it does not.

example. the bible, through ezekiel, declares the day that israel will return as a nation. in 1948 that day came and israel did return. exact match. objectively quantifiable. no need to argue. israel is on our tv screens every night.

It's a vain boast of Mohammad in the Koran, if I'm not mistaken, that has been debunked many a time.

The latest response to this challenge was made in the True Furqan, an Arabic book written by a Christian American Foundation which is quite identical to the style in which the original Koran was written, but, with many differences and a totally Christian Message. Link given below.

Muslims like to say that the Koran was Unique, which is untrue, because it is in 7 Official Version like the Qalun, Hafs, Warsh etc; and that it was not edited, which is again untrue because it's a very well known fact that the Sahih al Qur'an is the result of Caliph Uthman burning all the manuscripts of the 42 scribes who wrote for Mohammad after he had seized them and bringing out the edited version where he added and subtracted many things from the original.

The Koran is nowhere even close to being anything that the Muslims like to claim, but then, you cannot rationalize with people who "Believe" despite knowing the Truth.

The construction of the Quran is by Allah SWT, if they change 1 letter it voids the entire Quran

Al Quran Al Karim is the only book that has no noun/verb structure as every other language does.

Mankind cannot even come close to what Allah SWT made.

This is like saying your God is not powerful enough to speak to you when reading the scriptures, if one tiny mistake is made.

This world is not perfect, it is silly to think that one book with paper and word is PERFECT, NOthing is perfect to think so a person must be OCD.
