I have a Singer sewing machine...?
I haven't used it for almost a year. I need to sew something for someone at my church; now I can't get the motor to run. The light comes on. I checked the peddle connection.
someone said the motor is probable froze up (not literally)..
Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the motor is not running, but there is power for the light, then the problem could be internal and you will need to take the machine in for service.
Being idle should not pose a problem. However, where it was stored may. If stored where there is dust or high humidity, problems can arise that require a service tech.

it needs a proper overhaul by a sewing machine technician, but a good oiling of all the moving parts might get it moving. be sure to use proper sewing machine oil, anything else will be to it's detriment.
