Certified Nurse Midwives?
I'm really wanting to do a home birth but my insurance required the widwife to be a Certified Nurse Midwife. I have found 1 but she only delivers to the hospital. I'm in Wichita Ks. Does anyone happen to know of any of these types of midwifes practicing in town that will do a home birth?

Try calling a home birth midwife in your area that you know of but may not be a CNM, ask her if she can refer you to one.
Here are a few things I googled up:

The insurance company requires the nurse to be certified because the state requires the nurse to be certified. You do NOT want a nurse who is not certified. If you really want to do it at home without a certified nurse, do it alone, and take the baby to the hospital once the baby is born.
