Square both sides to get rid of the square root:
4² = 4(x - 5)
16 = 4(x - 5)
4 = x - 5
x = 9

if u square both sides..
16=4(x-5)
4x=16+20.
x=9.
P.S: remember to cross check the obtained answer in the original equation whenever you have squared on either side in the intermediate steps. Though not the case here, but it gives extra unwanted solutions many times.

hi, we've x(x - 2) + 3(2 - x) = x (x - 2) - 3(x - 2) =(x - 2)(x- 3) hint : Take ' - 3 ' hassle-free from (2 - x), so it particularly is - 3 exterior and in the bracket (x - 2). Now take (x - 2) hassle-free and placed the rest. So it particularly is (x - 2)(x - 3) Now Cheers !! desire i helped u :)
