will biking and running help me?

will biking and running help me lose fat and help me increase my endurance i will be doing sit ups and push ups because i am planning on an army career but i know i am not healthy at the moment to pass the fitness test should i get a copy of what i need to be able to do for it. any advice will help me

    Drop the biking and stick to running and swimming.

    However it is key to know that you need to burn more calories than you intake, and you also need to eat better foods (less sugar) that are good sources or vitamins/Minerals, Complex Carbohydrates, and Protein. Exercising and burning less calories than you intake will make you gain weight (fat) rather than losing it.

    Also stay away from foods with a high fat content (at least stay away from saturated fats as much as possible).
