How much would a mechanic charge for new transmission on a 96 mitsubishi gala?

Just wondering APROXIMATLY what the price would be, maybe u can't be exact but maybe get me in the ball park? ~Thanks :)

won't be new only new the first couple of years the car is out then all the problem trans go back to the manufacturer to be rebuilt then come back as re-man transmissions so it's re-man from the dealer,rebuilt from trans shop or from company factory that builds them as in jasper transmissions and so forth and then the good old junk yard but above answer not far off give or take 2-400 dollars

If the shop is buying the transmission for you? I would guess ROUGHLY $1500 for a factory trans, and another $500-$800 for labor.

just the transmission will run you like300 bucks but to get it and get in put in youre looking at like2500
