iPod Touch says no wi-fi and is all grayed out?

I just recently forgot in my jeans and accidentally washed it. I put it in rice then charged it a little then the touch didn't work. Now it works but says no wifi and is grayed out. oh and the volume control button on the side doesn't work

if you have a warranty then you can get it replaced for freeee!!

The same thing happened to my friends iPod. I messed with it and couldn't find anything that would fix it. So he got a new one. Sorry but if you want the problem fixed you might have to do the same
