I like your alliteration! How true it is that slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism are all part of the dim-witted, dangerous, devious, devilish & now dull Democratic Party.

The points of the two parties have changed drastically since Lincoln, along with the arguments to many of these issues that we now feel as easy answers with hindsight 50/50 on our advantage. But, no. to answer your question, and as a voting democrat, its think its safe to say that whatever your worries are, they are misplaced. Plus, I simply feel you have a very misguided veiw on what "socialism" is, but thats just my opinion. Hope it helps!
