Jesuit colleges were founded by an order of the Catholic church. The Jesuits were known for intellectual pursuits and therefore founded colleges. You may find Jesuit priest and brothers teaching in the theology and philosophy departments. The only real difference from a students point of view is that they are likely to be required to take at least one course in philosophy. this will not be taught from the Catholic prospective but will be just like a philosophy course in any other college. Jesuit colleges tend to have good reputations.
