Why is average hourly part time pay, higher in Japan than it is in the United States?

I just read an article in Japan it is $12.81 p/hour! (AMERICAN)

    Environmentalists should be cheering about high gas prices--and hoping for higher. The more the price goes up, the more likely people will change their habits and buy lower mileage cars, take public transportation, etc. Higher prices will also encourage and make profitable alternative energy sources as well as innovation.

    The Japanese like the Germans are not interested in ideology in Business but keeping business working and therefore all working people working. They understood Drucker well and learned what it took for their people to stay middle-class.

    There living expense are also much higher, especially in the cities.

    higher taxes - to pay for the national health care they have

    very high tech industry

    The Japanese are hard workers. Americans sit around, loafing and looking for some reason to sue their employers.

    it is an expensive country to live in.and labor-(mans labor) is respected and recognized.

    Because they have an economy? And aren't controlled by liberal idiots? And sell things to the U.S. unlike the U.S. selling things anywhere else? Derp.
