POLL/SURVEY: Wouldn't it be weird if 50 years from now Mexico was a rich Developed country with plenty of jobs?
And Americans were clamoring to get into Mexico for the opportunity to work for a salary?
Hey, 50 years ago, China was a starving Third World country where people made a fraction of what Mexicans earned...

Mexico has no natural resources or strategic trade areas, it's not impossible for them to become more developed, but it's very unlikely.
China isn't really all that great, although they will soon pass the United States as the most powerful country in the world both militarily and economicly, their general population isn't really all that well off. Most of the country is poor farmland, and many people don't even have clean drinking water or proper accomidations. Hong Kong is not China.
I think the reason China became as powerful as it did, because of it's strict and vastly superior education system, and coupled with it's strong trade in silk, manufactured goods, and natural shipping ports, made it grow very quickly due largely to American outsourcing.
If you ask me, the next superpower that will emerge will be India, their education is also vastly superior to the United States and they are also a large source of American outsourcing, they also have a large supply of coal and natural ports.
And lord famous, YOU are obviously not well educated, because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world countries are determined by GDP and standards of living, and the Soviet union hasn't existed for over 20 years, Russia is an ally of the United States.
Sweden is neutral and is considered a 1st world

1st world countries: US and allies
2nd world countries: Soviet Union and allies
