Have you ever heard of ''Food Therapy?'' Is it a new craze in curing diseases? Actually Food Therapy has a long history of more than 3,000 years and is the most basic treatment in Chinese Medicinal food dishes to derive the necessary nutrients to treat specific health problems, using selected food ingredients and superior herbs. Each recipe is tried─and─true and the natures,characteristics, therapeutic effects and impacts on people are fully known. Besides,most recipes are very delicious and they are specialties in the Chinese cuisine.

There are hundreds of these recipes in circulation and many households are using them regularly. They can be classified into the following six categories: (1) Health promotion--to improve health; (2) Sickness prevention--to prevent seasonal climate related problems; (3) Disease control--to fight early symptoms of health problems; (4) Supporting--to complement the primary treatment and to combat adverse side effects of harsh drugs during sickness; (5) Recuperating--to revive after sickness; and (6) Rejuvenating--to repair damages and body malfunctions.

Eating foods with medicinal effects is the most effective way in promoting good health. Medicinal foods are less expensive than western medicine, free of adverse side effects, easy to prepare, and extremely nutritious and tasty. Other foods or drugs are no match for them.

You are what you eat! If you take charge of your health by eating wisely, you can have a healthy life. Your immune system can protect you from infectious disease. After all, ''Health is Wealth!''
