The Federal Reserve Bank sets interest rates (the prime rate) for the United States. Their website has historical statistics for interest rates. Depending on what kind of interest rate you are interest in, you should use the phrase "historical chart" or something like that with the words mortgage, student loan, credit cards, car loans or whatever specifically you are looking for when you use a search engine like Google to find relevant websites. Remember that the information from the Federal Government is the most reliable and the government websites will not try to sell you anything. (I do not work for the Feds, btw)

Source(s): http://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h15/data.ht... useful financial websites with current loan rates are Bank Rate and Yahoo Finance http://finance.yahoo.com/ http://www.bankrate.com/
