yes however keep in mind that a deep cycle battery is designed differently, It will work, for a while actually but in the long run a car battery is made to have large amp draws, quickly, while a deep cycle is more for long slow current draws, but they do make deep cycle starting batteries they are however a bit more expensive. I moved into a apartment once with some senile crazy lady manager, she would call me up if any one used the pool and ask if I knew who moved her pool furniture, and rant and rave about it. For some reason the police started stopping me in my car and searching the car, finding nothing, one day, a guy in the front apartments car would not start. I jump started him off my wheelchair deep cycle, saving his job, because his boss told him the day before if he was late, he was fired. and in thanks for jump starting his car, told me that crazy lady manager had turned me into the police as a drug dealer (with no evidence whatsoever (she also evicted me illegally) I hadn't done anything., I went to court, and won, thanks in part to several other people I lived with that I helped in one way or another willing to go to court and explain the land lady was a nut job.
