Dangerous Days: The Autobiography of a Photojournalist, and its sequel, Blades: The Autobiography of a Rescue-Helicopter Pilot, both by J. William Turner. Realistic fiction about teens in several dramatic life and death situations set in Australia, Canada, England and California during the years 1981-1982 and 1995-2001. Each is written as a series of four related shorter novels (about 100 pages per novel) inside a single cover dealing with teenage, adult and social themes.

How wonderful to meet somewhat excited about reading!! And excited by wide diversity of subject!!

One of my favorite authors, Louis L'Amour told his children that a book was a time machine! You can go anywhere, anytime, and be anyone!! I have told my great-nephews the same thing!! When I visit I usually use the7yr old son's room for my stay. One has to blaze a trail through clothes, toys, etc. strewn all over the floor. However, there were NO books on the floor---they were all placed neatly on the bookcase!! I nearly cried!!

I have a very wide taste in books as do you!! Currently I am reading 3 books at once!

    Let me suggest-----

The Rosewood Casket by Sharyn McCrumb

I Should Have Killed Him When I Met Him by Sharon McCrumb

The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey

    Mrs. Lincoln by Catherine Clinton

A Hard Rain Fell by John Ketwig

    Manhunt by James Swanson

    Rumpspringa by Tom Shachtman

When the Dancing Stopped by Brian Hicks Anything by McCrumb, McCaffrey, L'Amour!!

Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams And they are read, and re-read and re-read!!

    Flint by Louis L'Amour

    Fallon by Louis L'Amour

Any book by JDRobb who writes mystery books starting titles with the phrase Witness in...

This list is quite varied; and could go on and on and on.....

I hope you can find something that interests you!! Good Luck!
