I love classical music. I like the romantic era of the mid 1900's, particularly the Russian composers -- Prokofiev, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Tchaikovsky; and among other nationalities, Dvorak, Vaughan Williams, Sibelius, Barber, and Mahler. I am also a fan of earlier masters, such as Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin. Although I appreciate Mozart and Bach's baroque, and Hayden's true classical music, it doesn't appeal to me as much. Just a matter of taste. If it were art, I would lean towards Impressionism as opposed to realism. Since you asked. Oh, my favortie work is still Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto. And ANYTHING pianist Sviatoslav Richter plays.
