Grammar question - "Would otherwise not have been able to do" vs "Would not have otherwise been able to do" ?

Which one is correct?

How exactly do we use "otherwise" in a sentence like this?

    depends what you're going for. To me, it often off as douchey, but I could see how it could help. edit: I will say that I think it's pretty much impossible to reach a high level of popularity without having a huge ego. There's a lot of stuff that takes what others would call "whoring out" to get to that level. BQ: oh, there's plenty. Some of those guys in Oasis were up there. BQ2: I'd say some of the members of my favorite local band, Elders. BQ3: I prefer Elders, by a lot BQ4: eh, probably pretty small. I don't think I could accurately rate it, though
