Well, here's how you do 1 through 10 (top heavy fractions): multiply the denominator (bottom number) by the whole number (side number) and add the numerator (top number). (for example, lets do number 1: First, multiply the denominator, which is 4, by the whole number, which is 2, and add the numerator, which is 1, and you'll get 9. Then you'll put 9 over the denominator, which makes 9/4, an improper fraction.)

2) 10/3

3) 5/3

4) 38/5

5) 17/6

Here are the answers to the second set:

1) 7 1/3

2) 5 2/5

3) 8 1/4

4) 10 1/3

5) 4 2/8 or 4 1/4

Try to figure out the rest on your own. Here's how: Think of how many times the denominator goes into the numerator. For example, let's do number 6. Think: How many times does 6 divide into 56? The answer is 9 times. With 6 still the denominator, think: How much was left over? 2. And the overall answer is 9 2/6 or 9 1/3 simplified.

Hope I helped!
