I think the Titanic story is fascinating. I never really thought that it was so much about history, though what occurred was certainly historic. the wife who would not leave her husband because she loved him that much tells something about human nature, if it is factual, the musicians who played to offer comfort to doomed people, the choice of Nearer my God to thee says something about the religiosity of the players, the captain going down with the ship...how sad and he about to retire....so honorable. then there were men who pushed ahead of women and children, poor folk trapped below, boats half filled.
It is a case of some frozen water, without thought or ability to move, just sitting there and taking down a whole 'unsinkable ship'
