Can you get a 3 month work Visa for Canada?
My friend and I want to go over for the summer next year.
We're trying to find out how to get a short term working visa but we're having difficulty finding out information.
Where can you get them and how much approx. do they cost?
Any help is appreciated :-)

You don't mention where you are from, however there is a visa called the Working Holiday Visa that is available to young people from certain countries. This visa allows you to work in Canada for up to 12 months. You must be between 18-30 (some countries 35) and there are a few other varying requirments, depending on your nationality (eg. some countries need to buy health insurance, some need to show minimum funds, some need to apply through SWAP etc.).
You can read more about it here -> http://www.international.gc.ca/iyp-pij/intro_incom...
This program is available to citizens of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. Citizens of the United States and South Africa can also apply, but must do so through SWAP (http://www.swap.ca/).
If you are not from one of these countries, then you would have to apply as a skilled migrant, and for 3 months, it's not worth the paperwork, hassle and wait times you would have to endure.Source(s): Ric has been on a few Working Holiday Visas abroad.

the only paintings visa attainable to you is the international paintings adventure (AKA working trip) Visa. there are actually not non everlasting standard use paintings enables. as with every international places, typical paintings enables are annoying to justify - exceptionally with the present financial cases and locals wanting jobs. besides the fact that if, think of it by, it quite is for a million twelve months and there's a shrink to each and each persons utility in keeping with us of a. So use it for 3 months and return, and you have thrown away the completed a million twelve months hazard and visa possibility additionally. of direction, you will get there and prefer it ! yet initially may be greater clever to think of long term.

Don't listen to Jim, work permits can be for a day or for 3 years, it depends on the situation.
Unfortunately, there is no such as a "just show up and you can get a work permit for 3 months" program, you would have to apply in the normal way which requires a lot of government red tape.
If you are a student of a country participating in the student work abroad program (SWAP), you may be allowed to apply and get a work permit.
Regardless, the processing fee for a work permit is $150 just because you asked.
