Minor League Baseball Help Needed?
To answer this question, you almost certainly have to be a fan of minor league baseball and live in a community where there's a team. Several years ago I had a student in one of my classes, Brooks Shankle, who was playing in the California/Los Angeles/Anaheim/whatever they call it this week Angels farm system and was wondering what happened to him. I checked the Angels website and they have almost nothing on their minor league teams other than the rosters and he isn't listed, so I'd guess he may have been part of one of those minor trades as a throw-in, or he may have given it up. How about it - any minor league followers or Angels fans on here who can let me know who - if anybody - he's with now?

wow... he was with them only 8 days. This is the low, low minors - I'd guess Brooks is done, but if it injury, I see no evidence of it

I persist with an independant minor league, the Frontier League. There are 2 communities interior of 30 miles of the place I stay. The Gateway Grizzlies in Sauget, Il and River city Rascals (my team) in O'Fallon, Mo. The league presently has 5 alumni on considerable league rosters George Sherrill -Evansviile to Baltimore, Justin Christian River city to manhattan Yankees, Joe Thatcher River city to San Diego, Mike Cervanek Chillicothe to Phiadelphia and Josh Kinney (DL) River city to St. Louis.

He stopped playing after the 2007 season, had a good power bat but hit under .200 for his career.

Looks like he spent about six seasons in the minors and retired after 2007.
