    Screw the new gay songs by new artists who thought mixing country and pop was a good idea. Gross.

    I'd say anything by David Allan Coe, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Jerry Reed, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Sr, Hank Williams Jr's not bad, Trace Adkins' earlier stuff, and any old school backwoods hillbilly jamboree-style song is surprisingly real good.
