Was Lithgow in that? I'd forgotten. And I take it he lived through the atomic attack?
Actually - turns out - people have a lot of different tolerances to nuclear fallout. People who were there when Hiroshima was attacked could die the next day - or they can still be alive today. But generally, if these people were picking up a continuing dose of radiation, they'd be dead in a couple weeks. After you pick up 500 rads, they don't bother to treat you anymore.
And yet, people have lived through that too.
