Isn't waving the confederate flag just as bad as waving the mexican flag?

People complain about mexicans waving their mexican flags in America, but what about confederate flags in America? That flag represents the desire to secede from America and therefore shows hate for America.

Nothing wrong with waiving a Mexican Flag, But a Confederate flag is intimidation to some people The Mexican Flag symbolizes Mexico. The Confederate flag symbolizes the war between the States, and this country has room for only Old Glory.

WOOahhh buddy you have something backwards. The confederate flag is JUST AS MUCH a part of America as the union flag. The only reason that the confederate flag is not the American flag is because the North played dirty in the war and cut off supplies and weapons to the South. had that not happened...The north wouldn't have won. If that WERE the case, would the union flag (the current American flag) be un-American to you?

@ DeeDee- If you support the Mexican flag...Then take your ignorant *** back to MEXICO where you belong. And yes, Mexicans are running rampid through the country. It's about time someone starts doing something about it! NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE SUPPORT THE ARIZONA IMMIGRATION BILL!!! Come on People.

Quoting you:"That flag represents the desire to secede from America and therefore shows hate for America" . The Confederate flag does is not represent a desire to secede or does it sho hate for America. It was a flag of a people who had a desire to live free from a federal government which had decided to abolish the rights of the states to govern their own peoples. Yes it offers itself as a symbol of oppression because of slavery, but if history were to be studied instead of read then all would understand the Civil War was fought over States Rights and not in its' total over the slavery issue. I got over the slavery issue a long time ago, since I understand history and the fact in which hundreds of thousands of men died for their states freedoms/rights and never owned a slave what-so-ever. So if someone wishes to fly a Confederate flag or a Mexican flag it makes no difference, because they both lost wars against a tyrannical government and if the flag means anything it means they are both losers! It does not matter about the German Nazi flag either and that one really represents hate!

    Source(s): Common sense!

"Taking over the country" lmao dumb *** gringos.

Waving the Mexican flag in no where NEAR as disgusting as the confederate flag. It's insulting just making the comparison.

Worse. They revolted against the US government. They allowed the flag to become a symbol of racism.

When will you people wake up? These double standards are what's wrong with America. The ideology that 2 wrongs make right is pure idiocy and ignorance.

I really don't care what flags people wave, as long as they don't show disrespect to the Stars & Stripes.

However, I agree - there is little difference.
