I'm a preteen looking for a romance novel. Any suggestions?

I am a preteen, and currently searching for a good romance novel. I am advanced and I am very mature when reading books. Are there any romantic stories/series out there that are appropriate for people around my age?

I do not want to read the Twilight series. Although I am glad to accept any suggestions about books containing supernatural things, as long as it contains romance.

Thank you so much!

The Uglies trilogy is about Tally Youngblood's relationships (romance and friendships) and continous betrayals to the ones she loves in a world based on the 'Pretty operation' that everyone receives at 16. It's set 300 years in the future. The romance is between Tally and David in the first book, and then Zane and Tally in the second and third books.

A Fine and Private Place by Peter S. Beagle is a love story between two ghosts who find happiness after they die. It's romantic and also sad and touching. I read it fir the first time when I was 12, and it is still one of my favorites 20 years later.

I also really loved Beauty by Robin McKinley. It's a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and it is quite romantic and wonderful.

For a classic novel, I would recommend Jane Eyre, one of the most romantic stories ever :)

    Source(s): I read all of these as a teen/preteen. :)

The secrets and techniques of Jin Shei by ability of Alma Alexander- set in a rustic in step with Imperial China. that's have been given relatively romance in it, whether that's greater with reference to the sisterhood/relationships between women. eye-catching and so, so unhappy.

Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.

I read both at 12 and they are still my favourites.
