Once spammers have your address, the damage is done, and they will keep using it. There are many ways for them to get your address.

You need to download and run a couple of reliable anti-malware programs, especially the most effective Malwarebytes Anti-Malware at

and/or Spybot Search and Destroy at,22262-or...

    and/or Windows Defender at

If an anti-virus and malware scan prove that your computer is not infected, keep the same address (to get to your saved Mail folders), but open and USE an alternate mail address. If someone sends mail to the old e-mail address, it will go to the same Inbox so you don't lose any messages. Click the link below to get an extra email address for your existing account. Use it just as you would for your primary address (which of course you can still use). There's a drop-down arrow menu to the right of the From: section to choose which address to use. To make your secondary email address your primary address, you can click on Options > Mail Options > Account Information > Password again > E-mail Information. Choose which one you want as your primary, then click SAVE.…

Changing your password is NOT sufficient, even though that is Yahoo's advice! Use a very strong password (letters, capitals, punctuation, numbers, symbols - the longer the better.) Start with a sentence, and make substitutions. Be sure the result is one you can remember. Change your 'Secret' Questions and Answers too - ones that nobody could guess - Yahoo even allows you to invent your own questions. Change and add all-new alternate e-mail addresses too.

Too late if the spammers already has your address, and if he is sending emails to your contacts, they are more than likely using your computer to send them.

The best way to get rid of them would be to reformat your hard drive. It's probably due to be done anyway.
