How Much Time Would You Do If You Were Charged With Endangerment To a Child?

My brother in law was charged with aggravated assault and endangerment to a child. How much time is he looking at? It is in Texas

Update:

It is first offense in anything this big. Person does have a record of endless traffic tickets, warrants for unpaid traffic tickets, and history of drug use, currently has an active drug addiction. Has been arrested multiple times but mostly for things such as DUI, suspended license etc. Also, did flee from the cops once, not sure if that matters. Anyhow the family ENDLESSLY enables him and his drug use, the ONLY thing this person hasn't had is JAIL TIME. Could this be it? Or can mommy bail him out yet again?!? Grrrrrr

I'm an officer in TX. Depends on 1st offense...

Don't know circumstances around the case, but if it's

Cut & dry, he could do 10+yrs...TX law is very strict state

& look extremely down on any case involving injury, neglect

Or murder of a child...I can b more specific if I had more details.

    Hope this helps...
