Environmental engineering is the application of science and engineering principles to improve the environment (air, water, and/or land resources), to provide healthy water, air, and land for human habitation and for other organisms, and to remediate polluted sites. See first link for more information.

You should focus on math and science, just as you would for any engineering curriculum.

The pay is around $80K after 10-15 years of experience.

See the second link for schools that offer environmental engineering. Any of the UC campuses have it.

The Sierra Club would be an excellent club to join.

Generally students graduating with engineering degrees have no trouble getting good jobs.

    Good luck!
