Army Basic Training Questions!?

I am a female that is headed off to Fort Leonardwood on September 20th. What sort of physical condition should I be in? At this very moment in time I can run up to maybe 2 miles, very slowly. I am good at situps though. I am worried that I will struggle in basic.

Also, are there any items that I am allowed to bring so that I do not need to purchase it at the PX, or is that mandatory?

Thank you for your help!!

Get a good razor, tooth paste, deodorant, and the regular crap that you would need to shower. Get ready to run allot. 4 miles or so at the minimum

Pace your self when you run and you should be able to run a lot by the end of basic, like 5 miles. You should bring personal hygiene items. (Toothbrush, tooth paste, sanitary napkins, razor, deodorant, etc.) Thank you for your service! Also, what is your MOS going to be?

sure this preparation "exercising" is genuine, however the rounds they shoot is approximately 3 or 4 thoughts above you, and your crawling decrease than the barb twine. So whether u stood right this moment up interior the process the course and you had stilts directly to make u stand approximately 3 thoughts severe then you certainly wont even get on the brink of being hit or harm. Edit #a million: additionally 95% of the stuff your recruiter tells you is merely 0.5 genuine or hes stretching the genuine actuality so dont belive each little thing he tells you.

From what my co-worker told me (was in the army) they did 25 push ups, sit ups, etc. I know you should be able to run for at least 4 or 5 miles. PACE yourself when you run!

Here's an article on surviving basic training

    http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armyjoin/l/aaarmyba...

    http://www.wood.army.mil/wood_cms/252.shtml

Start on the left side of page with "at the airport"

Take travel size stuff with you. You can buy at the PX cheaper than outside because you don't pay sales tax.

    Good luck and have fun.
