I remember that & that it was legal to use players up to 13 years old if they have a birthday by the a certain date. But here is what gets me, stuff like this happen time & time again, all over the world. But it is normally only in democratic countries with a more or less free press which stories such as these are reported or breaks out. The US & the Philippines come to my mind, at the moment. Take for example the last olympics in Beijing where we saw the protests against the ages of the Chinese girls gymnastics team, & of course nothing happened with that "scandal". Anyway, the general feeling was it was a proud moment because that should have been the first sports team world title by any Filipino team. And the irony was, news reports say that the original "age legit" team from Zamboanga could have really gone all the way & win the world title, even without the adults meddling around trying to do an over kill to really cinch it (yes, the end will justify the means, or by hook or by crook). And yes we saw it but its not really new in this dog-eat-dog world, our rat-race driven generation or our machiavellian thinking. It's just one of many from our country but certainly not unique as we should know by now that it happens all over the world. Now if only we can get all "scandals" such as this reported in the other countries who do them all the time.
