Was there ever bIack person that went to the moon?

Or is the moon "Whites OnIy?"

Update:

WRONG! Space is not the moon!

Update 2:

"No one has walked on the moon since 1972.

Though no black person has been on the moon, the first black woman in space was Dr. Mae Jemison. According to ww.Nasa.gov. The site states: "She was selected for the astronaut program in June 1987 and served as the science mission specialist on STS-47 Spacelab-J (September 12-20, 1992)."

@Nikki: I don't know what you're talking about, the only attempted moon landing resulting in casualties was Apollo 1, that was a cockpit fire on the ground, it was 1967, and there wasn't a black man on it.

To answer your question, I'm pretty sure all Apollo missions were crewed entirely by white people.

There was a time in the late 80's when a crew of people were on their way to the moon. One person in that crew was a black guy. For some unknown reason when they launched the rocket, it had blown up before it even made it into orbit. Everyone on that space shuttle was killed in the explosion of course.
