Can a Bad TPS stop a Truck from running at all? It starts then stalls.?

I checked the fuel pump and it is working. If you spray gas in the throttle body it runs fine till you stop.

Update:

Both of my responces were good answers.New fuel filter, pressure control valve, and TPS. It ended up being the MAP sensor. All the above needed replaced anyway. Thanks for the help.

It could be several things, and a bad TPS is one of the possible culprits. Check the voltage from the TPS and if it is outside of the normal limits, replace it.
