If it's still under warranty, send it back. It could be loose connection. My thought is that the laptop was probably a b-grade model that they decided to put on the market anyway. Some sucker got hold of it and it's unfortunate that it is you. That laptop will probably keep giving you problems even after it's fixed, as in, some other bits will start to fail. Best to read the T&C and get a refund if you can. I would, especially since it's already been to the repair bay and came back with another glitch! #hpfail
By blank screen, I hope you mean black, no startup BIOS screen either, just black. if u can send it back for repairs, good! Contact HP and ask them how come this repaired laptop came back with another fault?!! If you can't afford repairs, get the 6735s dis-assembly manual, some screwdrivers and do the repairs yourself. (This special manual will detail where the screen connector is).
