what are the only roles of an assisting nurse from delivery of baby to after care?

    Nurses weigh the baby, do a foot print, put the baby in a warmer, clean the baby, watch him for signs of distress, measure the head circumfrence and length, administer vitamin K (unless parents don't want it), prick baby's heel and check for certain disorders, monitor glucose. that is just some of the things that they do, they also help mother w/ breastfeeding, etc.
