AFROTC Type 1 Scholarship Chances?
Hello, I am a rising senior and am applying for an AFROTC Type 1 scholarship. I have a 4.41 GPA, am in the top 5% of my class, have taken many honors classes, and am in or have been in Junior civitan, the science club ,NHS, the spanish club, and our drafting club. I was a junior marshal. I took the SAT's in 10th grade and scored a combined math and CR 1200. I plan on taking it twice again this fall. My question is, do I have a good chance of getting a Type 1 scholarship? I want to major in Aeronautical Engineering at ERAU. Another question I have is what is a good PFT score? Thanks.

I thought Type 1 were available mostly in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
Everything sounds great except for the lack of any athletic extracurricular activity. If you have no sporting activity at all, you might consider joining cross country this fall.
Sat scores are on the low side for an Afrotc Scholarship and to be admitted to most Engineering Programs but then the SAT was taken in 10th grade and tests Alg 1, Geometry and Alg 2 which may not have all been completed at the time of test. The schools at the following link are noted for Aeronautical Engineering. These are the Grad School rankings which are much more helpful than the undergrad rankings since the undergrad rankings do not directly consider the quality of the faculty which is the most important factor. At most schools, the same faculty teach grads as undergrads.
Another question I have is what is a good PFT score?
A: As close to maxed out in each area as possible!
Good description of Afrotc:
If you are not awarded the four year scholarship, there are Type 1 in college express scholarships available in the same majors noted above on a non competitive basis.
