@ Metal

Yup. O.C. completely slipped my mind. Word...Life should definitely be up there. Though towards the last 25 or so.

Another one I thought of after I made the list was 3rd Eye Vision by Hieroglyphics.

@ Pizzajordan, that's kinda hard to say cause I didn't really rank them based on what I would call a 5/5, 4.5/5, etc., but just glancing at the list I would have say that 5/5s end after Metaphorical Music (no. 58).

Everything above it I'd call a 5/5. After it, it's more of a mixed bag and a lot the rankings are interchangeable.

Though I'm sure if you go through my Q/A history I've called most of the 59-100 albums 5/5 as well.

Lol, Last time this year everyone was posting their top 25's. Now a year later, everyone's doing top 100's. Anyway, good list. The first thing that stands out to me is that most of these albums are pretty well known. Only a few albums on here I haven't either heard or heard of and nothing super underground on here. Its a competent list though, probably the one I agree with the most surprisingly (other than Craftsman). Lotta Native Tongues type style albums on here which is pretty much what I expected.

Its a nice list. You cant go wrong with most of them.

I have to agree with the OC comments. Word or Jewels is a must top 50 let alone 100 for me.

lol @ the 40 days > Speed of Life comment.

Now Am I wrong or did I not see 93 Til' on this list? How is that not a top 100? Disappointing after seeing your other question about Hiero being underrated. As always Del dominates the best of lists, though you cant really agrue that.

Edit: @ reasonable, I gave you a thumbs up. I agree with Illmatic comment and dont feel you should be thumbed down for your opinion.

I think I would put both College Dropout and Aquemini in my Top 10, so at least we agree there. In terms of recs, you're not likely to take anything I say seriously, but I would check out Arts & Entertainment - Ace & Edo. It's not elitist, it's just two great rappers rapping over great beats. Also Atmosphere Airlines - Dela, because there's crazy good production throughout, even if some of the lyrics are questionable

How come you've Lupe Fiasco's Food And Liquor but not The Cool. I think The Game's The Documentary could get up there.

The Blueprint for Jay-Z is also missing and i can not see any Ice Cube up there. Personally i don't think The Illmatic can be that much higher than Eric B and Rakim's Follow The Leader - I mean the latter is basically the blueprint for Nas's debut tape.

Reasonable Doubt should be higher and the Stillmatic should be in there but Lost Tape should be much lower. I didn't see Talib Kweli's Eardrum and I don't know how you could forget Mathematics from Mos Def. And I acknowledge Black Star was a sensational classic but I think 2nd place is pushing it there.

I also think that Kanye West should have another one of his efforts may be Late Registration creeping in somewhere. OutKast have also over achieved and I think Jay's In My LifeTime Volume One could get a mention.

I'd personally have 36 Chambers a little higher, Slim Shady LP lower, and Ready To Die somewhere in the top 50 (i think its better than the Black Album at least...)

other than that, I don't think I have a complaint. Solid List.

facepalm @ Jason M. always one of those dudes on these list questions

I dont like this list, Why? Because your top 20 is so similar to everybody elses and Illmatic aint Number 1

Too much Nas stop overrating him and you only got like 1 2Pac album that isnt even that high? Why is SSLP that high? Ready to Die 95? thats like automatic top 10

I might be the only one who dont like your list but Im being Honest

Yes Ive listened to about 75 of those albums on your list I think theyre way too high or low or missing

This is the best list I've seen so far, mostly because it has the perfect mix of the classics, and albums only you would have on a list (if that makes sense). I really have to do one of these.

What do you think about O.C.? I'm surprised Jewelz or Word...Life don't make your list.

Dope list my dude. I noticed Center of Attention up high and that made my day. Just wondering, at what number do the 5/5's end?

    Great list

Although I don't really see The Infamous being so high, other than that it's very good. Better than I could ever come up with
