Where was God during the Holocaust? Could he have stopped it? Yes, He could have. He could also have prevented Stalin’s massacres in the U.S.S.R., the Spanish Inquisition’s torture of dissidents, and Nero’s reign of terror.

In each case, God allowed evil men to exercise a certain amount of power for a short period of time.

We do not know the reasons why. His ways and thoughts are infinitely higher than ours the Bible tells us.

HOWEVER, God’s allowing it to happen--is not the same as His approving it.

Evil dictators and horrors such as the Holocaust, are a direct result of man turning his back on God and refusing to live peacefully and lovingly.

NOTHING can justify the Holocaust, but from World War II -- Israel now exists as a nation. Defeating Nazism and giving the land of Israel back to the Jews is a classic example of God’s bringing about good in spite of the evil.

The blame for the Holocaust lies squarely on the shoulders of humanity. The Holocaust was the product of hateful choices made by sinful men who ignored what God really wanted of their life.

A better question to ask than "Where was God during the Holocaust?" would be "Why did we allow it for so long?"

God gives mankind freedom of choice. Until we turn to the True and Living God, the world will continue to witness "ethnic cleansings," genocides, and atrocities such as the Holocaust.

To kill Jews wasn't a loving decision, it was hateful to say the least. God is love, you know that. Hitler was Satin personified.

Where He has always been, and when the prophets spoke of that coming event it was because of how Israel turned away from God.

He is a just God, and the Bible has stated many times that when people continue to sin, He will give them over to it.

Israel is His beloved, and He will again turn His eyes toward Judah

I understand that the Holocaust was awful, haynes, but also try to remember the persecution of all the christians during the Roman Rule. They too were put to death in the arena's of Rome.

This also was foretold by Jesus.

We the believers , not all, but some will be required to face the penalty of death for their beliefs in the last days before Messiah returns at Armageddon. (Beheaded) as was John the baptist.

Welcoming to heaven ALL those believers who were lost in that war... and arranging stadium seating and a Holy-Tron large screen TV for those who were slaughtered - so they could see the special arrangement he had made with Lucifer for Hitler, Goebbels, and all the guards and SS members.

God hasn't had a direct appearance or public intervention since his Burning-Bush days or via proxy in His Son. He gave us free will and let us loose until we arrive at the Pearly Gates... and then we settle accounts.

BTW... He IS shaking His head at L. Lohan, P. Hilton... and T Kennedy and M Jackson are STILL at the Gates listening to St. Peter reading the list of charges

Both good and bad things happen in our world. But why do bad, sometimes terrible things happen to the totally innocent? Murder, violence, war, and natural disasters are all part of this world. You will hear some say, its God’s way and they are correct. I believe that it is God’s way not to intervening in the affairs of human life. God left it up to man by giving him reasoning and does not intervene. He place both good and evil in every human. It is totally up to the person which one they nurture.

In the mind of the believers (and nowhere else).

You have to wonder why people even pray. If God did not even act during that, why the hell would he respond to ANY prayer?

"it was god that shut down those evil camps in the long run"

I think the quality of the people who speak FOR god does not bode very well for him.

  • I guess the Jews didn't shout loud enough for God to hear or there is no god and was never around to begin with.

No religion ever indicated a promise from God of heaven on earth and that people would not suffer.

  • just because god is all holy does not mean he will stop all evil if thats the case humanity should be stopped and deystroyed because we think evil things every single day.

    i understand your question completley

Taking notes to see if he could learn anything. He wasn't really happy with his own genocides (the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah etc).
