A riff off of Giggle's lovely poem. Comments/Guffaws?

I Didn't, But Katydid (written while eating potato chips)

I sat and layed™ as the world cliched

but the clouds gone by wouldn't paint the sky

the train whistle sound went on "all day-ed"

though it tried, it just couldn't pass me by

The tree frogs (six) fell and broke the larynxes

the cloud angels laughed into their wings

the kaytidids nixed, went on strike, - those minxes!

and the ebb and flow left some rings!

A piano fortéd all the live long day

it was hardly ever soothing

the moist haze hardly merits praise

and the sunset needs removing

All in all for a quiet day I'd rather take another than this one

all forms they say fade into gray so I'm sure they'll hardly miss one.

Thanks Sandy for the inspiration.

I wanted to say "tree frogs (at sixes)" but most of the audience would not know the rhyming slang...

at sixes and sevens

far from heaven.

So I left it as a head count.

I am glad you shared this

I got a kick out of it...

I know, I have been writing to cliche` and stuff

but my melancholy mood has kept me there

so I robotically write the words

either I have a lot of friends or people do like it...hmmmmm

    as for you

I absolutely will take credit for inspiring this great piece from you

and would you kindly pass those chips, I have a craving....

No guffaws, but genuine laughter. Charming and I love the cloud angels!

  • not good for me

    but pass me some chips

some smooth ... high calorie dips

and *slips 2 chips between her lips*

*Qaucking up*... as gives me the pringles.

Some how I get the impression that this was more fun to write than it was to read

but it was still fun to read

I wrote you a poem, about romance even

"Train whistle blowing makes a sleepy noise" what were thinking when they wrote that, it's a frightening noise.
