The Bible isn't just one book - it is actually a collection of several different books put together into a single volume. These books were written by many different people over a period of nearly 1000 years. Most of the books were written in or around Jerusalem, but some were written in ancient Iraq, Greece, Turkey, and Italy. Several of the books were originally anonymous.
Of the 60+ books in the Bible, only 5 of them were written about the events in the time of Christ, and we don't know if any of those 5 books were actually written by the apostles (although there is no good reason to assume that they were not).
None of the books were written as a journal of events. Even the books that record historical events were meant to convey a literary theme, and not journalistic history.
