Coconut and Lime Hair Treatment?

I recently read about the lime and coconut hair treatment, whereby you mix the two and leave them in the fridge until a creamy layer forms over it. Then you use that cream to apply it on your hair. Now I used one tin of coconut milk, and squeezed one huge juicy lemon into it. I left it in the refrigerator but it's been 4 days and still no cream formation! :/

Now where do you think I went wrong? I'd apply the milk in its liquid form, but it drips like crazy off of my head. So yup, please help?
