how do i remove spray from my rear lights as they look crap blacked out?
my rear lights have been sprayed prior to me owning the car and it looks yuk

You may need to replace the lenses. Any solvent that is going to remove the paint is going to have a tendency to "melt" that plastic lens. Its not going to totally liquify them but it will make them look like a cloudy mess. I suggest replacing the lens.

either go buy some lights from a junk yard, probably the easiest thing to do, or go to Hobby Lobby and get a can or two of Grafitti-B-Gone paint remover

since it is a spray paint you might need to try turps, just putting the idea out there, some other people may have a better idea. i dunno how the plastic will hold up from the turps. i am pretty sure it would be fine however just make sure you wash them after.
