Making a Water Filter

1.How much clear water did you get from the water filter?

(Two cups of muddy water)

    It is hard to say. It depends on how muddy the water is. If the water is directly from a muddy river, the mud and solid deposits contained therein can be as much as 40%. So, theoretically speaking, you can only have about 60% of the original volume after filtering. If the water is just from a rusted water pipe, the solid particles are minimal, and you might get more than 97% after filtering.

    Hearsay that the mud contained in Yellow River (黃河) was at one time up to 45%.
