ACh has a stimulatory effect in skeletal muscle and an inhibitory effect in the vascular system. It also slows the heart. Its action depends on the type of receptor (muscarinic? adrenergic?)

Any physiology or anatomy textbook will mention ACh in the section about heart rate regulation, skeletal muscle stimulation, and vascular system control (i.e., vasodilation and vasoconstriction)
