Not the Ritz, will you comment please?

"No need to pull the plug, she won't last the night" was heard.

What a fright, eyes closed but awake, she wanted to mouth,

"Yer such a turd, are all of ya creeps?"

'How can any body in this place sleep

with all the activity and the incessant beeps.'

Three, four, five came and went.

Finally dozing unable to snore, shunts and vents

breathing just, had been restored

Feeling like it was just a bad dream

So wishing she could cuss and scream

Not fully awake, yet not yet forsaken

She woke as did the Sun

A warm hand holding, This for them, couldn't be fun

Nurses scrambled, Doctors came, amazed

How cold the sound; "You're still with us"

Then a dozen more to witness; all making some kinda fuss.

Tubes removed, throat more soothed,

"Where the heck is the food menu lady?"

Then she laughed, looked on as crazy.

The room emptied rapidly, all were mumbling

She called out, "Maybe the food here is more what'll kill me?"

Again she laughed; fear set free.

I'm wit' Sandy, but knew that! ;-) Your serious is always defensively intercepted with well-aimed humor; that's one of the things I most love aboutcha! I believe the very best word for you is INDEFATIGABLE!

Still...sounds like you've got things on yer mind that are still a wee premature. Always remember:

    Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Source(s): @ Rosa: Hi. Your quote from 2 Corinthians 4 is one of my favorites and reminds me of another favorite, a song by Sara Groves called The Word. It's on the Time-Life intro CD of Christian Anthems titled I Can Only Imagine. She borrows heavily from both 2Corinthians and Hebrews and sings kinda like Alanis Morrisette! You should check her out! In fact, you should check out the entire 2-CD set. Nice variety and, FINALLY, Christian music that was recorded for its musical value vice just its theme!

Hi i like your poem, and the out look of how you handle things, be strong in the struggle. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9...........This is another poem to add to my collection if you do not mind. Peace to all.

i got mildly lost: between 2 people. not to worry...i've written before and this poem has made me suspicious of all who say,"a really nice job". i don't feel bad when they say, "i write 2". i now will assume they are mildly lost and don't care. that's okay. some nice thoughts in there though.
