Ink Waste Absorber Full On My Canon iP1500 Printer!?

Hi.

I have had a 'Canon iP1500 for a few years (I can't remember how many exactly) and for a couple of weeks it has not been working , it tells me to press the resume button as the ink waste absorber is full. I do this but it does not work, i have searched the internet looking for help but i cant find anything that works.

Thanks.

The waste ink pad nearly full message will stop soon and the printer is dead.

I had the Canon MP 610 printer and I had the dreaded waste ink tank almost full message. a few months back. Mine is now on the floor dead and I had to but a new printer.

It will cost as much to replace the waste ink pad as to buy a new printer.

Even if you find the reset code to reset the error message the pad is still full of waste ink and eventually the ink in it will come out all over the place. The pad has to be replaced and before it stales completely.
